Back to the Life - Day 58

New book back from the printers and review copies have been sent out. Got following response from David Pawson (one of my heroes), a lot better than his response from my first draft, sent many moons ago.

This time he said: “I really enjoyed reading it. You are the master of epigrams, full of Jewish wit and humour, which I love. These keep you reading and make the whole interesting. It’s so important to add gravy to the meat and you are a good chef. I hope this book will reach those who need it most though I fear they will be irritated, if not infuriated, by your dismissal of so many of their heroes!”

Epigrams eh? Now where's my dictionary??!!!

New book

Like the first of the trilogy, It certainly did not disappoint. You are doing a great job, Steve - and may God Bless you mightily as you tackle the third and, I believe, most 'tricky' of all. Amazon shows only one copy left, and not yet a facility to comment at the moment.

New book

My copy duly arrived from Amazon yesterday. - Although I was surrounded by a heap of apples, blown down from a friend's tree during heavy winds and needing to be cut up and prepared for freezing, I couldn't resist a few minutes with the book. I enjoyed the humour which comes across at the beginning and the whole looks as though it will be a treat. I did what I often do with a new book, and took a quick look at the Epilogue. The final paragraph on page 202 has been my dream for years - but from what I see around me, I fear it will remain a dream!! Ah well - we can only keep going, as the old childhood song goes - 'You in your small corner, and I in mine' remembering ... 'And now I will show you the most excellent way. If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels but have not love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging symbol. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge and if I have faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and surrender my body to he flames, but have not love, I gain nothing. (Cor.1.13 1-3)' .... 'And now these three remain, faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love'. (v.13 NIV) verses 8 to 12 give us the quality and character of Love which is Divine ! Praise be the Word of God and strength to all workers in the field.

New book

Cann't wait to read it. David Pawson is one of my heroes too - I have given copies of his "Unlocking the Bible" to several friends over the years and found it so helpful myself.

Arrived early ...

.. like two days ago.

Should be on the essential reading list of everyone who professes belief in Yeshua and who seriously wishes to delve into that very belief they profess.

Good one Steve.

Shalom

David

Thanks, David

Very encouraging comments ...

It would help if you could post those comments on Amazon
:-)
