Shalom and welcome to
Saltshakers. We are both one
of the oldest and newest
messianic websites. Although
we began in 1996, we have
been dormant for many
years, waiting for the right
moment.
We now believe our time has
come, a time to get serious
with One New Man, as a
true expression of both its
Jewish and Gentile elements.
It is time to get Biblical, really
Biblical - not cultural,
"prophetic" or subjective. To
our eyes much of the "Hebrew
Roots" movement has been
hijacked since we have been
away, some elements have
even been called "cultish".
If you feel called to explore
the Hebrew Roots of the faith
in the Lord Jesus Christ, in the
spirit of One New Man - Jew
and Gentile - then please join
us on our journey. All that we
ask of you as an individual is
to learn to love and respect
your identity in the Body of
Christ. If you're born a Gentile,
then that's what you are. If
you're born a Jew, then you're
still a Jew. As far as what your
role is in the Body, that is
something that we can
discover together.
To fully enter into the spirit of
this website we ask you to
read two books, one
compulsory, the other
optional. First read the Book
of Ephesians in one go - it
will only take an hour or so
- and get a feel for what
Paul is talking about in One
New Man (Chapter 2). Read
it, pray about it and meditate
on it.
Secondly, there is the book,
"How the Church lost The
Way ... and how it can find
it again". It's a book that
really analyses what's gone
wrong with the Church and
how a knowledge of the
Hebrew Roots can put things
right. It's not an attack on
the Church, but it's a book
that every Christian leader
should read. It's the book
that is already challenging
the UK Church, for those who
have ears to hear. Hey, even
the Queen of England has a

Well done, Chris ... and Amen ! This is not a political site, but it is Judeo/Christian - and to my brothers and sisters in the the Lord, here in UK may I urge with regard to the coming election that we must watch and listen and pray . We have one would-be PM who has said that he wants to build the UK to be great, building on the values that made it great in the past, yet at the same time firmly denying the very source of those values, Almighty God! Those values had to be fought for by a few faithful souls down the years, with so many lives sacrificed in WW2 to retain our freedom . It is not so long ago that women had to fight simply to be able to vote - There has never been a perfect past, and every step of the way has been a battle for someone while the vast majority have just grumbled and let it happen as we have lost control of so much of our hard won liberty. We have all been compromised, every one of us, to the god money. It is not a question of appealing to the young, or the old - but to the heart of our nation. Wide is the road to destruction and that is the easy path. - I believe that as a nation, a tiny part of a wider world in which we have a responsibility to witness by example , we are at a real cross-roads now - There is not going to be an easy ride for anyone - make no mistake about it, and broad (and easy) is the road to destruction, but God mercifully gives Grace to those who truly believe, whatever their social status. As for me, personally, I will put my cross where it matters most, Jesus Christ first past the post. Onward Christian soldiers.
