original sin and angels/messengers

I have and still am struggling with the doctrine of
infant baptism having been raised in a denomination that practices this. The dynamic is Jesus welcomed little children, blessed them, and all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. I know infant dedication is perhaps another way around this ceremonially speaking.
Please say more on this when time permits.
Concerning angels appearing to persons in the Bible and the result being obedience, in this case Yosef, in others Avraham offering Yitshak, has the Holy Spirit taken the mission or role previously accomplished by angels/messengers, in this present era?
What made Bible characters realize they were confronting God's wishes in these instances if not God directly?
I guess we can never really know the time between message and action, but the idea seems to strongly suggest
trust and obey on hearing something once realized it is of God. Thank you again.

original sin and baptism

Hi David
As someone who has grown up in churches which practised adult baptism, we baptise on confession of faith in the Lord Jesus. So basically it's a choice, which infants aren't able to do. We follow the pattern of Jesus' life, in thanksgiving for the life of a child, dedicating it to God and promising as parents to raise it in the ways of the Lord.
My struggle (and I think I put this in the wrong place, sorry I am hopeless with all this blogging and computer stuff!!) My big issue is with what Bob said about original sin as i have always been taught that because of Adam's fall (1Cor 15:21,22; Romans 5:12) the sinful human nature is how we are born. Psalm 51v1; Job 14:4; Psalm 58:3. Hopefully if Bob has time he will expand on this as it has somewhat blown my mind!!
And I am sorry if I have put stuff in the wrong place but I would love to resolve this.

RE Original Sin

Ruth, thanks.. To add to your concern, If we say we have no sin we deceive ourselves," 1 John 1:7. All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." Romans 3. These statements would infer the entire human race from birth on. Yes, Bob please say more. Thanks for clearing up baptism/dedication for me Ruth. As for technical savvy, have been a computer user 15+ years and still get baffled.. Thanks.
