Back to The Way - Day 122
A bit of a lapse since my last entry. Not that I haven't had stuff to say, it's just been finding the time to express it coherently. Now, I'm probably still not particularly coherent, but I've been pondering more and more of the Greek and Hebraic worldviews. A sudden thought hit me, probably an obvious one, but one that had to be teased out as part of a process - Greek vs Hebrew is simply that old chestnut of "Works vs Faith" under a different guise.
Taking that back to the very beginning, it's the old Adam and Eve sampling from the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil (Greek) rather than relying on their faith in the Almighty God (Hebrew). My big thought here is that Greek thinking masquerades as "progress" (technological, scientific etc), whereas Hebrew thinking takes us back "to the Garden", the only place that could really satisfy us.
