Back to The Way - Day 110

I am speechless!

Two reasons. Firstly, because of the amount of talking I did over the last couple of days and secondly, because of the amazing occasion where I did my speaking. I was guest speaker (making my debut in such things) at the Succot celebration of Reshet Ministries in Leicester, UK.

Here were around 100 people (mostly Gentiles, just a handful of Jews - not surprising as Leicester has a negligible Jewish population), all hungry to understand the Hebraic roots of their faith. Led by three fantastically knowledgeable leaders (pastors of local churches), these folk - from various churches in the local area - were just so passionate, so real and so eager to learn more of the Jewish Jesus. Worship was thoroughly messianic as was the liturgy. Yet there was never a sense of - 'oh dear, here's a group of Gentiles trying to be Jewish'. It was thoroughly sincere and authentic - you cannot find any fault in people eager to drink from the roots of the faith, the lack of Jews was purely geographic, not intentional.

There needs to be such groups as these all over our country. If 100 people could gather together in such a way in Liverpool, Manchester, Lincoln etc etc, then there's every chance we could see the approach of the much-needed new Reformation of the Church in our country.

And do you know what warmed me the most and convinced me of the sincerity and rightness of the occasion? It was the final act - a passionate and moving intercession for the salvation of the Jewish people.

May the Lord bless David, Yvonne, Peter and the other good people at Reshet. What they do is not just about celebrations and festivals, it is to witness to the local vicars, ministers and others as to the need for a 'Return to The Way' and a change in attitude to the Jewish people. Are there any others who feel led to do something similar in their region? If so, why not share your thoughts here?

I'm living in Liverpool and

I'm living in Liverpool and can't seem to find any messianic believers to meet with. I don't drive so can't get to any meetings in Manchester (nearest messianic congregations I can find), but I desperately want/need to be meeting with other believers. If anyone else is in Liverpool please let me know because I'm feeling really rather isolated!!

Back to the Way - Day 110

Needs must, when the devil drives goes the saying. Conversely, The Good Shepherd leads and feeds His flock. Would that there was a great passion and intercession for growth in Our Lord, in the UK. Then our prayers for Israel may be heard.

This is totally heartwarming

This is totally heartwarming and I am glad that the Father seems to be increasing this hunger in believers to examine their roots! Praise be to Him who deserves all the honour and glory and may we gentiles be increasingly enriched and blessed and we discover more and more of His abundant grace.
Bless you in all that you do for His Names' sake.
