Beloved, I wanted to share something special with you and this is the scripture I was given - it’s perfect - Psalm 119 verse 94 starts off: “I am Yours, save me,” It just about says it all and it’s so simple!! What a blessing - I think I’ll pray it each day, when I wake up!!
It’s great to think that someone wrote this, for our encouragement, with trust in a Saviour – the same Messiah, throughout every age.
My life’s funny. I need saving all the time! Sometimes from myself! I struggle to cope, trying to change things under my own steam, next I rely on others for help and comfort – and after all that, sometimes, things just get worse! If you’re like me, then you’ll know that you can get pretty frustrated, depressed and angry when things don’t pan out. A dear brother once said that the world just isn’t always kind enough or able enough to help. It clarifies things for me!
We went through a trauma a few years ago, but to the glory of God, I found that only when I had worn myself out trying, and I gave the situation to Abba (God), the right people became available, and the strength to carry on was given, to me and my family, and the turnaround in our situation was so great, that the experience became a ‘springboard’ for my faith, and it’s another one of His ‘fingerprint’ moments in my life.
So if you are in your first steps of your walk, or you‘re well on your way – be encouraged - we can‘t do everything in our own strength, and we don‘t have to. We all need help. Even the ’rocks’ amongst us! And not just for the traumatic times in our lives - He cares about the little every day struggles, too. It doesn’t mean handing your responsibilities over, and forgetting them - it’s about trusting Him to love you, perhaps showing you a new way of going about things. Our needs are so personal, that we don’t always get it right when we try to help others, but the wonderful news is, if we call on the Lord, then our needs are met.
God told us His name is “I Am That I Am”. It’s a privilege to know His name; it’s probably beyond our comprehension to know all that it means. This is what it now means to me:-
I Am that I Am - that is - whatever you need from me - I Am able.
You may see only the negatives, but I Am aware of the bigger, fully developed picture.
Trust in Me and I will take you soaring above the hills, on wings as an eagle.
I Am always there for you -
When the going gets tough, When you feel isolated…or crowded
And you’ve taken comfort from all those around - and found - you still feel alone -
be still - and wait for me, I Am ready to act - you’re not alone - I Am there.
When your strength is sapped, and your spirit is low; the days make your heart and oh your body ache, and the nights linger …. and fear overtakes, but for the sake of others you have to stand tall,
When you feel lost, and in danger of losing it all, and you feel your faith ebbing away,
Exhausted and beaten? - let me in.
I Am there to lift you up - onto my shoulders if need be - they are broad.
I Am victorious and have conquered even death itself - There is nothing to fear - I Am here
I Am here to give you strength, to boost you and to love you
I Am here - in that moment - for that purpose - if you can’t feel me, if you can’t see me, if you can’t hear me - Don’t worry - I Am here, and I will Never forsake you
Never let you go
Never see you fall
I Am the Good Shepherd and I protect My Sheep - I protect them all.
For, Beloved, I Am Yours …. And you, Beloved - you are Mine
Where does your help come from? From beyond the hills, and Higher
Your help comes from Me - whatever your need is -
I Am the Alpha and the Omega - I Am the Lord - I Am that I Am

Lovely. He is indeed The True Vine and, thanks be to God, many true branches are growing.
'As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Now remain in my love. If you obey my commands, you will remain in my love, just as I have obeyed my Father's commands and remain in his love. I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete. My command is this, Love each other as I have loved you.'
(John 15.9-13. NIV)
