The door

Shalom Mispochah,

The Lord reminded me recently of the Door.

Revelation 3:20
"Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if any one hears and listens to and heeds my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and will eat with him, and he shall eat with me."

Matthew 7:7
"Keep on asking and it will be given to you; keep on seeking and you will find; keep on knocking and the door will be opened to you."

The fragrance of the Rose

Shalom mispochach,

As a believer, the more I study about the rose, the more I find that the fragance comes from the source of the one who is the source of our lives, Yeshua our Messiah.

He gives the fragrance of an opened rose. I ask you, is that fragrance noticable to others around you in your everyday lives? When you are not attending church or synagogue, is that fragrance ministering to others? I am talking about witnessing or preaching. I am asking you, are you a living witness to the love of Yeshua in actiion. Do you live by example?

Chosen

Shalom friends,

May the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob be blessed by those chosen to follow Him in interceding for Israel, His Chosen People. Amen and amen. I thank God for each one of you.

The Rose

Shalom Mispochah,

It is a new day for the Saltshakers website.
Many of you will return to the Saltshakers for information and inspiration.
Many of you will discover this website for the first time. I know you will be blessed by it.

For a number of years I contributed to this website with my monthly prayer letters for Israel.
Some of those prayer letters were compiled into a book, An Intercessor's Tribute to Israel.

Crossing over

Shalom Mispochah,

Hebrew means to cross over. We know from the book of Deuteronomy that the Hebrews crossed over the Jordan River to the hope of a brighter safer future. They made a decision and trusted God to get them across. Determined they walked that path by faith.

For over 2,000 years in exile, the Jewish people got integrated into society, cultures, marriages and intermarriages.

The Jewish people have experienced external pressures through history through biblical times up through WW2 and Hitler.

The Olive Tree

Symbols described in the Bible describe characteristics of the olive tree to tell us more about God, Israel and our relationship to both.

Olive trees, their fruit and oil have played an important role in the history of Israel. It has been used for healing, a staple food, and for light. It was used in the temples in Israel. It was considered a blessing in life (Psalm 52:8).

The olive tree is remarkable. It has the ability to survive in all conditions (hot, dry, cold, wet, rocky, sandy) and yet produce fruit. Even when cut down or burned, new shoots will emerge from its roots.
